Real estate- Read and answer carefully please ;)?

So I just bought a hud home, I'm done with the initial paperwork and the earnest money part. The house is escrow insured, and needs '$2,500 of repair done to the electrical system' TO BE FINISHED 1 WEEK AFTER CLOSING. How do I go about finding an electrician that will do the work and be willing to wait to get paid? <-- Realtors sound understand what I'm talking about, if you don't PLEASE do NOT answer. Second part, any suggestions on where I should look for new furniture? Any personal experience with really good stores that have great deals? THANKS!!!
