Furniture acquired while we were together... he wants it back?

First, it is doubtful that the furniture or other items your bf wants back are worth the costs of suing you for them in court so this course of action on his part is highly unlikely. Still, from a moral standpoint, you raise good points to ponder. I think you should return the bed his mother purchased, even though it has been an entire year and you paid the costs of moving it from the old apartment. This is taking the high road, and I think it's the right thing to do. Regarding the monitor or other stuff you purchased together is quite another story. If he had wanted things back, he should have made such requests within a few months time of moving out, and certainly before you to the trouble of having the items moved into your new place! I do not recommend giving him those items since you both paid for them and he had ample time to make his requests in a timely fashion. I feel it's fair.
