A flutter at 2000rpm?

i have a pickup that was sitting for a while and it seems to have a hesitation at 2000 rpm under a load(manual trans). going up a hill or under resistance. do you think it could be maybe the injectors needs a cleaning. I plan on running up the highway a couple of times to see if it will clear up.
